This process started a couple of weekends ago, with a walk in the local woods, from where I\u2019m staying, and foraging sweet chestnuts with my sis, for a tasty meal while here.<\/p>

I kept the left over shells in a bowl with the thought they\u2019d make a nice base for holding oil scent.<\/p>

\"acnzftupjnxmvftcukqw8nzyux1jhshcuopao1jkpiixtb7q.jpeg\"When the vased roses (already here) turned-over, I dried some petals on the work top in the sun, for a few days.<\/p>

There are better ways to dry rose petals to keep their colour and smell - but this is a travelling life-hack.<\/em><\/p>

I poured a tea spoon of the bath soak over the chestnut shells and mixed and rubbed them together.<\/p>

Finally topped a bowl with the dried rose petals and mixed them with chestnut skins & oils.<\/p>

I think I\u2019m close enough to call this creation as a potpourri - all items were natural at least, with no extra chemicals or plastic finding there way into the ecosystems. Plus this can safely be thrown into the food waste or composted at home.<\/p>
