But you can use sticks and bin lids perhaps. We, also , turned the rainwater butt cover over and filled with water.

We have used a garden ornament too. Jeremy fisher doesn’t seem to mind his boat is full of water instead of him keeping it out. Jeremy is an amphibian and needs to stay moist. If you usually have a small nature pond in your garden then remember to top up with more filtered water to make sure your frogs, toads and newts can stay cool and wet too.

All of these drinking stations will need regularly topping up with water as it will evaporite quickly. But we are sure as you water your plants it won’t take much time to pop a few drops in your make shift or super duper life saving wildlife.

Your plants and wildlife would prefer rain or filtered water for long term health but if tap is all you’ve got nothings going to complain in these conditions . If you are right into the insect wildlife support, you may like to leave out melon or cucumber slices etc. even banana has moisture and sugars.
